Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: October 20, 20261. What is free and what uses credit
The MCP connection, Google Search Console and GA4 are free and never use credit, and so is setting things up: adding a site and keywords to track, following a business or a brand, and writing and scoring content drafts. Credit is an optional prepaid balance used only to run the ten research modules: keyword research, domain overview, competitors, backlinks, rank tracking, site audit, content briefs, local SEO, brand monitoring and AI visibility. 1 credit unit equals US$1. It is a dollar balance, not a separate currency, points system or bonus allowance. DataFlowSEO has no subscription or plan.
2. When credit is charged
Credit is deducted when a live research operation successfully completes, whether you ran it from the dashboard or an AI client connected through the MCP server ran it on your behalf. Results that are already saved are free to read again.
- If a request fails before returning a result (for example, a provider error or a network failure), you are not charged for it.
- If a request is not started because your balance is too low to cover it, it doesn't run, and no credit is deducted.
- If you have switched on a scheduled check (for example daily or weekly rank tracking), each run is charged when it completes, like any other request. You can set a spending limit per run: a run that would cost more, or that your balance cannot cover, is skipped and the schedule pauses. You can switch a schedule off at any time, and nothing is scheduled unless you turn it on.
3. Topping up
You can add credit at any time in any amount from US$10 to US$1,000 per top-up. Credit doesn't expire on a monthly or annual cycle. It stays on your account until you spend it or close your account.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. DataFlowSEO currently serves customers in India, and we are working to make it available worldwide. Today payments run through Razorpay, which offers cards, UPI and net banking to customers in India. We are working on more ways to pay as we open up to customers in other countries. Credit, prices and usage are always in US dollars. If your payment is processed in your local currency (for example Indian rupees), Razorpay shows the converted amount, based on a daily exchange rate that includes a small conversion fee, at checkout before you pay. Your balance is credited in US dollars either way. Applicable taxes are added where required.
Once a top-up successfully completes and credit is added to your account, that credit is non-refundable. It must be used toward research operations, and a successful top-up can't be cashed back out or reversed.
4. Cancellation policy
There is no subscription to cancel: nothing auto-renews and nothing is billed on a schedule. "Cancelling" means you stop topping up and/or close your account whenever you choose.
- Stopping use. You can stop at any time with no notice period, cancellation fee or penalty. Credit on your account stays usable until you spend it or close your account, and the free features keep working without any balance. Switch off any scheduled checks you no longer want.
- Closing your account. You can delete your account from Settings → Account in the dashboard, or by emailing [email protected]. Closing your account immediately revokes connected MCP client tokens and stops all scheduled checks and further credit deductions.
- Resetting your account. Instead of closing it, you can reset your account from Settings → Account → Danger zone. A reset permanently deletes your projects and everything in them (including tracked sites, schedules, followed businesses and brands, and saved research) and disconnects every connected MCP client. Your sign-in, credit balance and billing history are kept. A reset is not a refund and does not change your balance.
- Remaining balance on closure. Any credit left on the account at closure is forfeited and not refunded. If you want to use it, spend it before you close the account.
5. Refunds
Because credit is only deducted for operations that complete, most usage doesn't raise a refund question. That said:
- Unused credit. A successful top-up is not eligible for a refund, including credit you haven't spent. We don't offer partial or full cash-back on unused balances.
- Billing errors. If you're charged for an operation that failed or didn't return usable results because of a fault on our end, or for a scheduled check that ran after you switched it off, contact us and we'll credit your account for the affected charge.
- Unauthorized use. If credit was spent by an MCP client token you didn't authorize (as opposed to one you issued and later revoked), contact us so we can investigate and restore the affected balance where appropriate.
- Duplicate or failed top-up charges. If you're charged twice for the same top-up, or a top-up fails to credit your account after a successful charge, contact us and we'll correct it, either by crediting your account or by refunding the duplicate charge to your original payment method.
Refund requests are reviewed individually. Email [email protected] with your account email, the date and amount of the charge and a short description. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, subject to your bank or card issuer's processing time. Because charges may be made in rupees at an exchange rate, a refund is returned in the currency originally charged and the amount you receive may differ slightly from the dollar value.
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law that can't be waived.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. If we make a material change, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active accounts before it takes effect.
