Terms of Service
Last updated: October 20, 20261. What these terms cover
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DataFlowSEO's research workspace, including the website, your account, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets connected AI clients (such as Claude and ChatGPT) query your project's data. By creating an account or using the MCP server, you agree to these Terms.
DataFlowSEO is operated by DataFlowSEO ("we," "us," or "DataFlowSEO"). You can reach us at [email protected] or through the contact page.
Where the service is available. DataFlowSEO currently serves customers in India, and we are working to make it available worldwide. You may use the service from other countries at your own initiative, but we haven't yet adapted payments, support hours or local requirements for them, and we may not be able to offer the service, or particular payment methods, in every country. We will update these Terms and notify active accounts as availability widens.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use DataFlowSEO. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, or with your Google account, we don't use passwords. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address and Google account secure, since that's how sign-in and account recovery work. If you sign in with Google, we use your Google name, email address and profile picture to create your account and to show your profile picture next to your name.
You must be able to form a binding contract to use DataFlowSEO, and you're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating a project.
3. Free features, credits and payment
3.1 What is free
Creating an account, the MCP server connection, Google Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4) access (including the GSC and GA4 Insights pages and the Search Console and Analytics tools in connected AI clients), reopening anything you have already saved, and setting things up (adding a site and keywords to track, following a business or a brand, and writing and scoring content drafts) are free. They need no credit balance. We may apply reasonable rate limits or fair-use limits to free features to protect the service, and we may change or withdraw free features with notice as described in Section 11.
3.2 Optional paid research credits
Ten research modules (keyword research, domain overview, competitors, backlinks, rank tracking, site audit, content briefs, local SEO, brand monitoring and AI visibility) run on a prepaid credit balance, whether used from the dashboard or through a connected MCP client. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. The only automatic use of credit is a scheduled check that you switch on yourself (Section 3.4).
- Credit is a prepaid balance in US dollars (1 credit unit = US$1). It is not a separate currency or points system.
- You can add credit at any time in amounts from US$10 to US$1,000 per top-up.
- Credit does not expire on a billing cycle. It stays on your account until you spend it or your account is closed.
- Credit is charged only when a live research request completes successfully. The charge reflects the underlying data cost plus our service margin, and varies by module and request size (for example, the number of pages crawled in a site audit, the number of keywords checked in a rank check, or the number of spots in a local geo-grid). The price is shown before you run a request wherever the size is your choice. Results already saved or cached are free to read again.
- Live research is unavailable while your balance is zero, and a request may be refused if your balance is below the minimum needed to start it.
3.3 Payment, currency and taxes
Top-ups are processed by Razorpay. Your credit balance, prices and usage are always in US dollars. If your payment is processed in your local currency (for example Indian rupees), Razorpay shows the converted amount, based on a daily exchange rate that includes a small conversion fee, at checkout before you pay. Your balance is credited in US dollars either way. Applicable taxes, such as GST, are added where required. Today payments run through Razorpay, which offers cards, UPI and net banking to customers in India. We are working on more ways to pay as we open up to customers in other countries. We do not store your card, UPI or bank details. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own fees.
Specific terms about refunds and what happens if a request fails after credit is deducted are covered in the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
3.4 Scheduled checks and email alerts
Some tools can repeat a check for you. Rank tracking can check a site's keywords daily or weekly, and backlink monitoring and site audits can also be scheduled. A schedule exists only if you switch it on, and you can change or switch it off at any time.
- Each scheduled run uses credit in the same way as a run you start yourself, when it completes successfully, and is shown in your usage history.
- You can set a spending limit per run. A run that would cost more than the limit, or that your balance cannot cover, is skipped and the schedule pauses instead of spending your credit. A schedule also pauses if its checks keep failing, and the page shows why.
- If you ask for rank alerts, we email your account address when a tracked keyword moves by the size you chose, or enters or leaves the results.
- Closing your account stops every schedule. Resetting your account deletes the sites and schedules in your projects.
4. Cancellation policy
DataFlowSEO has no subscription or recurring plan, so there is nothing that auto-renews and nothing to cancel on a billing cycle. You may stop using the service and stop adding credit at any time, with no notice period and no cancellation fee. You can delete your account yourself from Settings → Account. Because credit is non-refundable once added (Section 5), any remaining balance is forfeited when the account is closed, so spend it first if you want to use it. Closing your account immediately revokes connected MCP client tokens and stops all scheduled checks and further credit deductions. You can also reset your account from the same page: that permanently deletes your projects and everything in them and disconnects every connected AI client, but keeps your account, your credit balance and your billing history. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy for full details.
5. Refund policy
Credit, once successfully added to your account, is non-refundable, it must be used toward research operations, and cannot be cashed back out or reversed. This applies whether the credit is unused or already spent, including on account closure. Separately, billing errors, duplicate or failed top-up charges, and unauthorized use of credit by a client token you did not authorize are eligible for review and correction. The full refund process, eligible cases, and processing timelines are set out in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
6. The MCP server and connected AI clients
DataFlowSEO exposes a Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint that lets you connect AI clients, including Claude and ChatGPT, to your project's data. When you authorize a client:
- The client receives a project-scoped access token. It can only read and query the project(s) you explicitly grant it access to.
- Requests that require a live external fetch (for example, a new keyword lookup that isn't already saved) run immediately and use your account credit. Your balance is checked before each one runs, and a request is not started if your balance cannot cover it.
- You can revoke a connected client's access at any time from your project settings. Revoking access takes effect immediately for new requests. Resetting or closing your account revokes every connected client.
- A connected client can also set up tracking for you (tracked keywords, followed businesses and followed brands), which is free, and run the paid research tools described in Section 3.2.
You're responsible for what you authorize a connected client to do on your behalf, including any credit it spends while acting under a token you've issued.
7. Connecting Google Search Console and Google Analytics
You may optionally connect a Google account to a project to read Google Search Console and/or Google Analytics data. When you do:
- You must have your own valid permission to access the Search Console property or Analytics property you select, connecting an account doesn't grant you access to a property you couldn't already see in Google.
- DataFlowSEO only requests read-only access and never modifies, deletes, or writes to your Search Console or Analytics data.
- You can disconnect a Google account at any time from Settings → Integrations, or by revoking DataFlowSEO's access directly from your Google account. See our Privacy Policy for how this data is used, stored, and shared, including our commitment to the Google API Services User Data Policy.
- If you authorize an MCP client to access a project with a connected Google account, that client can read the same Search Console/Analytics data you've linked, you're responsible for what that client does with it, same as any other MCP-connected data under Section 6.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use DataFlowSEO to:
- Attempt to circumvent credit charges, credit checks, or rate limits for external requests.
- Access, scrape, or resell data belonging to another account or project you haven't been granted access to.
- Connect a Google Search Console or Analytics property you don't have your own legitimate permission to access.
- Use the service to build a competing product that resells DataFlowSEO's underlying data feeds.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the service, including attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, infrastructure, or connected MCP clients that aren't yours.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
9. Data accuracy
Keyword, domain, competitor, backlink, ranking, local business and review, brand mention and AI visibility data is sourced from third-party providers and reflects estimates. Search positions and Google Maps rankings vary with location, device and time, brand mention sentiment is worked out automatically from the text of pages, and AI assistants' answers can change from one request to the next. Search Console and Analytics data is provided by Google and is shown as Google reports it, not guaranteed outcomes. DataFlowSEO doesn't make claims about search rankings, traffic, or business results you'll achieve by acting on this data, it's research to inform your own decisions, not a promise of performance.
10. Termination
You can stop using DataFlowSEO and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the MCP server, or attempt to defraud the credit system. Any unused credit balance on a closed account is handled according to the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the product changes. If we make a material change, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active accounts (for example, by email) before it takes effect. Continuing to use DataFlowSEO after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for credit in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits or traffic.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Rajkot, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Because we currently serve customers in India, this is the law and the place we apply today; we will review it as we open the service to customers in other countries.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected]. Billing questions go to [email protected]. You can also use the contact form.
