Competitors

Find the sites you really compete with on Google, and the keywords they win that you do not.

4 min read

The sites you compete with in search are often not the ones you expect. Competitors finds them from the keywords you share, then shows exactly where a rival is ahead of you, so you know what to go after next.

Find your competitors

  1. Open Competitors

Choose it under Research in the left sidebar.

  2. Enter your site

The box holds your project's website. Type another domain to look at any site, such as example.com.

  3. Pick a country and language

Rankings differ by market. It defaults to United States and English.

  4. Run it

The button shows the usual price first. A question you already asked opens at once, for free.

You get the closest competitors (the ten domains that rank for the most of the same keywords as you) and a table of up to 100 competing sites. For each one you see how many keywords you share, their average position, estimated traffic, how many keywords they rank for in total, and how many of those sit in the top 3 and top 10.

Compare yourself with one competitor

Pick a competitor from the list, or type one in, and choose which keywords you want to see:

Which keywordsWhat it shows
Missing keywordsThe competitor ranks for these and you do not. These are your biggest opportunities.
Shared keywordsYou both rank. See who is ahead and by how much.
Your strengthsYou rank for these and the competitor does not.

Each analysis lists up to 200 keywords, the biggest opportunities first, with search volume, difficulty, cost per click, intent, your position, their position and the page of theirs that ranks.

Saved analyses

Every analysis is saved to Your analyses. Reopening one is always free, and asking the same question again while the saved answer is still current is free too.

What it costs

Finding competitors is one lookup and each comparison with a competitor is another. The price appears before you run it, and nothing is charged if a request fails.

Use it from an AI assistant

Your connected AI assistant can read your saved analyses and run new ones, for example *"Who are my main competitors, and which keywords do they rank for that I do not?"*. It uses your credit in the same way as the dashboard.
